YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE ASKED….

I have wrestled with the decision to continue writing the Daily Rant. I mentioned on the Weekly Rant (the music/politics podcast I do every week on WWW.BZOO.ORG) that I wasn’t ready to talk about my experience at Camp Democracy when I first got back from my concert there on September 19-20. You may have noticed that I stopped writing the Daily Rant now for a couple weeks, or since I’ve been back. The reason? I needed time to reflect on what I saw, how it made me feel, and how I was going to keep myself charged up here on The Rant after the disappointment I felt leaving Washington DC.

I was still thinking about my reaction to what I discovered for my traveling 5,000+ miles for the sole purpose of supporting the anti-war movement and supporting political candidates that I believe have a chance to be the 15 House seats we need and 6 Senate seats we need to take out government back on November 7^th. Well, I’ve reflected on both of these critical aspects of America’s future. I’ve never been more convinced that America is poised to take its dubious place in history right there next to the Fall of the Roman Empire and the Collapse of the Third Reich.

WHOSE YOUR DADDY?

In the past two weeks I have heard my President three times in three different states… Utah, California, and Nevada… this week alone attribute quotes to Democrats that were never heard or quoted by anyone… except Dubya. Anyone who doesn’t buy into his private war, is “just waiting until we get attacked again before we do anything about it”. So we’re all cowards inviting the terrorists to do it again in Junior’s pretzel logic. Of course, it’s the President’s job to anticipate! Just like anticipating WMDs in Iraq; Saddam and Al Queda connections; Iraq and 9/11 connections; and anticipating where Bin Laden is for the last five years!

Neo-Cons and Christian Right activists are turning out in record numbers to listen to this bullsh*t and gladly pay 00 a plate for campaign funds to deflect their role or responsibility in anything that has gone wrong under their watch and run for re-election to the Do-Nothing Congress. People are paying it!
